The Benefits of Your Event Having its Own Website

There are many events that you have attended that will have had their own website. When you are an event company that organises multiple events a year, it might be something you forget to consider. But, since there are many benefits of your event having its own website, we thought we would remind you!

Vast information all in one place

If you are planning a large event, with hundreds of people in attendance, it helps to have one place to store all the event information. When there is a large event, you can count on people having questions and a great way to defer them from the phone lines, which are probably busy planning other events, is with a website! Upload all the information about the event, the location and any dress codes or rules for a quick way for people to find information. For even better customer service, ensure a live chat is in working use.

Ticketing and extras

If you are selling tickets to multiple people, rather than one company or branch, then a website can make your job quicker and easier. With separate people and payment methods calling over the phone, it would take all day but a website can act as a self-service for the event. Not only can people buy their tickets, but it is also a great way of selling more product. For example, including something relevant to your event for sale can increase profit. If it is a festival, for example, why not throw in some drinks vouchers or supplies for people to add into their basket?

Marketing before and after

Giving your event its own website can reduce any confusion regarding who is responsible for the event. If half of your event attendees are tagging and talking about your company, leaving only the other half of the attendees to talk and tag the event itself, you’re losing precious marketing and engagement. A website puts a firm name on the event. You might also consider creating branded marketing to make the hashtag clear and who to tag in photos of the event! It also gives people a channel to go to, should there be any problems during the event.

So, do any of your upcoming events qualify for their own website?
