For most of us the Easter holidays is exciting, not just because of the abundance of tolerance on eating too much chocolate but also because we get a four day weekend! We’re not forgetful, however, of our audience of parents who are probably panicking, flipping through the local papers to try to find something to take their children to! Well, you can stop because we’ve got some ideas!
If it’s an egg hunt you’re after then you’re in luck! There are plenty of egg hunts around London but our top picks include the Horniman Easter Fair where there will also be bunny rabbits to pet and things to find and the hunt for the gold Lindt chocolate bunnies around Hampton Court Palace. London Bridge will also have some fancy dress characters to give you clues to help you find chocolate eggs and you can also find a local egg hunt in a national trust property on the Cadbury website!
If you want to keep hands busy (but not in your house!) then taking the family to a craft event is a great way of getting creative without worrying about the mess or getting in the necessary equipment. Pop Brixton has a range of craft stations available over the Easter weekend as well as street performers and face painters to keep little ones entertained. Or, head to Drink Shop Do for a session making papier mache eggs!
For A Break
If the 4 day weekend is just getting a bit too much and you’re looking for somewhere to drop off the kids so you can find a place to relax and hear yourself think then that’s okay too! Fortnum and Mason are running an egg decorating workshop for children while the adults have lunch and a glass of wine! Battersea Children’s Zoo is also helping parents out over the Easter break with their egg hunt, petting zoo, storytime and craft activities.
If you have anything else to suggest then please say so in the comments! From all of us here at List of Life, we wish you a very happy Easter bank holiday!
