We think there is no better way to test your friendship and your skill than with a game of mini golf. Over the next three months, The Old Truman Brewery will play host to Junkyard Golf Club. It’s a pop up event that’s already been established in Manchester and literally uses junk, from scrapyards to car boot sales and charity shops to create some of the most unique crazy golf courses around.
There are three nine hole crazy golf courses featuring jacuzzis, slides, speed boats, wendy houses, treadmills and even cows (we’ve been assured they’re not real). There’s also a section called DAFTWERK featuring UV techno which they say is ‘mild altering’. The three main courses are called ‘FRANK’ (Putt Up or Shut Up), ‘PEDRO’ (Polluted Paradise) and HELGA (In Da Club).
As you can tell they’ve definitely got their own sense of humour which is reflected in their four bars serving cocktails with aptly named golf-themes such as Golf Lundgren, Who’s Your Caddy and Tee Diddy. With any pop up event, there’s usually a variety of food on offer, and Junk Yard Golf offers two great traders, Barts Dog Kart and Big Grille Style. You don’t need to go to seaside to play a round or two anymore, tickets are now on sale, so don’t miss out one this one of kind experience.
