The director of Megabooth, Lee Hoppen, recently won the first ever certificate awarded to a person rather than the business or brand in the category of ‘best supplier and event services’ and it isn’t difficult to see why. Lee has taken a classic event instalment, the famous photobooth, and completely modernised it. What’s more, is he isn’t afraid to experiment with it – a feat that has, no doubt, led to the incredibly success of the Megabooth company.
When you think of photobooths, you might reflect on your own experiences, of climbing into a tight squeeze of a booth with friends and family to play with props and take home a stream of photographs you weren’t ready for. Lee Hoppen and his team at Megabooth have reinvented photobooths entirely – now they aren’t booths at all! Since every event can benefit from a photobooth which is not only fun to participate in but great for taking home party favours and memorabilia of the event itself, we have compiled a list of our favourite booths and what events they would compliment best.
This photobooth is perfect for larger events because it can fit a medium sized group of people into the booth at one time. The van’s interior is quirky and provides a party themed backdrop. The photos print instantly and can be sent to social media platforms as they are taken. The van’s transportability is also an advantage, especially for outdoor events. If you are organising a festival, an outdoor screening or a garden party, this retro photo booth on wheels is the perfect addition to the party!
This booth is perfect for weddings and other formal events. Megabooth have taxis that come in both black and white to suit the colour scheme of the event’s theme and a few people can fit into the car and photographs at any given time. These types of photobooths are becoming increasingly popular because they provide favours which guests can take home. Additionally, placing guestbooks nearby encourages people to put a copy of their photos alongside a message inside.
This simple photo pod is great for a pop up event. It takes up little space and the number of participants in each photograph is flexible depending upon the distance and arrangement of the guests at the event since they can see for themselves whether they are in shot and there are no restrictions such as a booth or room. This is a great way of advertising your brand since you can organise for your company’s name to appear on the printed photographs which guests take home as memorabilia. This pod can also create videos and GIFs so it is an all-rounder that is suitable for any event!
