The popular Greenwich Comedy Festival returns to the National Maritime Museum this July on the 26th and stays until the 31st. With a wide range of well-known comedians spanning the course of six days and offering a variety of one-liners, improvisation and anecdotal stand-up, there is an act to meet everybody’s tastes.
Among the best of the comedians in this year’s line up is Reginald D Hunter whose performances explore the difficulties of race and politics with casual comedic undertones and irony so if you were looking for comedic relief from Brexit you are sure to find it on the Wednesday line-up! Should you require something more lighthearted then be sure to book the Thursday for Jason Manford, as seen on ‘8 out of 10 Cats’, ‘Qi’ and more who has been placed on the same day as Sarah Pascoe, one of the nation’s favourite female comedians.
The venue itself will have more than a laugh to offer since there are promises of gourmet street food, bars and music, all of which set us up for the perfect evening. Make sure to book your tickets soon before they run out, especially since the event is supporting Cancer Research UK and Channel 4’s wonderful Stand Up To Cancer campaign.
