Considering the fantastic weather in London, we thought we would bring you the most exciting events that are happening this weekend!
Wimbledon, the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world started this Monday. You can watch all the action live at three locations in London: One New Change near St Pauls, New Street Square in Holborn and Cardinal Place in Victoria. These outdoor screenings are completely free. Enjoy the sunny days with good sports and amazing food!
Comida Fest is a Latin American street food market. It made its debut last year. After last year’s success, the market is now returning to Cutty Sark Garden to celebrate 110 years of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Café Pacifico, a Mexican restaurant will serve a Frida-themed menu. Kids are encouraged to dress up in full Kahlo costumes. Food will be served by food sellers from 12 Latin American countries. Meanwhile there will be live music and family events.
The Pride Festival takes place from the end of June until Sunday July 9th. On Saturday, the main event will take place, which is the Pride Parade. LGBT+ communities take over the streets of London to celebrate love in all forms. This year the parade will be bigger than ever as it has been 50 years since the decriminalisation of male homosexual acts in the UK. The theme of this year’s parade is ‘Love Happens Here’ in response to recent events. More than 300 groups will march through the heart of London starting at Oxford Circus at 1pm, and the day will end in a big party in Trafalgar Square.
Get your family and friends together and enjoy the weather this weekend!
